We rolled out a release to reduce/eliminate the timeouts and related issues (duplicated opportunities) in InPosLinks.  There are more system improvements still in the works but this release should make things far better.  Other minor noticeable bug fixes were made but most of our work was to background operations.  We are continuing to make incremental fixes so keep submitting ideas and any problems you may have.

As you may be aware, people have been having trouble accepting opportunities on the new site. Some of this was bug related which our amazing Dev Team has already corrected and some of it has to do with our continuing efforts to provide meaningful disclosure across all of the IZEA properties.

Toward this end, we have added a new required field at inPostLinks for your blog’s disclosure URL which must be verified for each blog before you are able to accept opportunities.

To enter this information to your account, choose the ‘my blogs’ link from the ‘my account’ dropdown at the top right of your dashboard.

Then click on the title of your blog.

Or, if your blog has not yet been approved, you can click the ‘register and claim your blog link.

And finally enter the URL of your sitewide disclosure policy page and update.

We realize that many of you are uncertain about exactly how to handle Opportunities in inPostLinks, so we wanted to give you some additional information to help you along. The following requirements will be in place for all the posts you submit in inPostLinks from this point forward:

1) You are required to write a new post so that it appears on the home page of your blog. You cannot simply place the link into an old post and call it good.

2) You should not write an endorsement of a product or service. We would like for you to write a natural post about something you would normally blog about. For example, say an advertiser gives you a link to a plumbing service. You could blog about wanting to renovate your house and how you want to expand your bathroom. Slip the link in as best you can. The content of the post must be relevant to the topic of the anchor text.

3) The link needs to appear in the middle of your post within the body of your text. This means that you can’t simply place the link at the beginning or end of the post. You must include the link contextually within your post.

4) The 200 word count is not “set in stone”. We just want to make sure you write an actual post that is of a decent length. The more you can write, the better. But don’t freak out if you can only come up with 150 words.

inPostLinks is a replacement for the original version of PayPerPost.com. This new site is designed to help advertisers build text link ads on blogs. inPostLinks only offers links. No testimonials, no reviews. The system is a modified version of the original PPP with some enhancements and streamlining. Some things you should be aware of:

• All of your data from PPP v3 is now on this site.
• You can login here with your old v3 login.
• All previous Opps were permanently ended as they could require reviews and the system no longer allows that.
• It is normal for bloggers to see few or zero Opps available until advertisers create new ones.
• If advertisers want reviews they will need to do that through PayPerPost.com (v4), this site only allows you to buy text links.
